Despite a challenging macro backdrop, Asia Pacific real estate remains resilient. Governments’ relative preparedness and success in handling the pandemic, coupled with robust fiscal and monetary support, positions the developed APAC economies for a softer decline, followed by a relatively faster recovery, than other global economies.

In this event moderated by Mersiha Jans, Senior Business Manager, Switzerland, we explored the benefits of Asian real estate in the context of a global real estate portfolio. Head of Asia research, Jonathan Hsu, and manager of our Asia property fund, Richard van den Berg , were joined by guest speaker Zoltan Szelyes, Chief Financial Officer of Macro Real Estate, in discussing the market and how to allocate in APAC for a core strategy.
