In the UK we have over 6 million customers. Our purpose here is to ensure that we manage people's savings and their investments. We enjoy doing it, it's a wonderful thing to be able to give a customer, essentially the life they want. It's a big honour that we have. We'll be the oldest new company in the FTSE, and we need the very best people to join this firm. Exceptional people, exceptional talent, people who work for the benefit of customers. If you look at the volume of change that we are going through as a business, it's an opportunity for us all to challenge one another and challenge ourselves. Being exceptional means giving 110% while still smiling. Being driven by something more than just doing a good job. Going above and beyond in your day-to-day role. Taking pride in what you do. How to I make things better? How do I take things forward for all of our customers? The workplace here really helps us become exceptional. In order to make sure we give ourselves the best chance of generating these excellent customer outcomes, we need to attract the right people and we need to make sure that they're working in an environment that makes the best of them. This space itself has made a huge difference to the way work together and collaborate. People can move around and work closely with colleagues; you only have to look at what's going on in the Edinburgh office to realise the concept and the feel for agile working is being developed extensively, and not just in 10 Fenchurch Avenue. It helps colleagues flourish, collaborate well, create innovative solutions for our customers and really help them get the best outcomes for their lives. We need to have flexibility, we need to understand that people have demands outside of work which are as important as being at work. We want diversity of thought, diversity of experience. Our customer outcomes ultimately are the name of the game; our products are diverse, our people are diverse, so it's important, yeah. The company are really good at motivating people to follow pathways that suit them because we're all different. The work around inclusion is making certain that everyone feels they can bring their entire self to work. Being a part of an organisation that I believe in because they believe in me, that I feel like I belong to gives me the opportunity then to excel because it gets barriers out of the way.
